MAY THRU SEPTEMBER
DOWNTOWN ANCHORAGE MARKET
Where: Downtown Anchorage parking lot on 3rd Ave. between C St. and E St.
When: Saturdays and Sundays from May 8th thru September 5th.
What: The Market is a lively place to find everything from Alaskan seafood and produce to fine arts, both local and imported. The variety of food booths is impressive; entertainment is decent, and the atmosphere is quite festive. We are located in the Alaska Grown area near the farmers, in the NE corner of the market – “E Caribou Corridor, spaces 135 & 137. Come see us and sample all of our products. Come see what's new! We'll be selling a few other Alaska Grown favorites along with our own products. We will feature some of our favorite gift baskets and, as always, if you are travelling we will ship it all home for you in USPS flat rate boxes. It’s a great taste of Alaska to come home to, or send to friends and family!
NOW OPEN!! Our own TASTE, TOUR, AND SHOP production facility and showroom on the Talkeetna Spur Road!
Where: Mile 1.1 Talkeetna Spur Rd. DIRECTIONS: From Anchorage, take the Glenn Highway North to the George Parks Highway, headed north towards Wasilla, Fairbanks, and Denali. At about mile 98, turn right onto the Talkeetna Spur Rd, towards Talkeetna. Go 1.1 miles and turn right into our driveway, just past Michelle Rd. and directly across from Shade Tree Lane. If you pass the “Junque Lady” go in and see her and her fantastic collectibles, Alaskana, and restored furniture! Then turn around and go back 1 driveway to come see us. We have plenty of parking and a convenient in-and-out driveway for large vehicles.
When: If you come during harvest (approx. mid-April to mid-May) you may get to see our sap-suckers in action, our local sap collectors making deliveries, or finished syrup coming off the evaporator. You’ll have to forgive us if we don’t have time for more than a nod and a smile. Harvest is an intense time and requires all of our energy and focus, so we may limit viewing times.
What: After harvest is when the fun will begin, when we will open our doors to sell our products and offer demonstrations, tours, tastes, and ice cream treats - made with Matanuska Creamery ice cream – including birch – and topped with our own delicious birch and berry syrups and toppings. We also will feature select works of fine and functional art from some of our Alaskan friends. Come enjoy the fruits of our labor and relax on our spacious porch. Please call for more information: 800-380-7457 or direct to our facility, 907-733-1409. We would love to see you!
MOST OF OUR FINE PRODUCTS can also be purchased at Alaska Wildberry Products in Anchorage and Wasilla, Alaska Max, Cabin Fever, and the Ulu Factory in Anchorage (among others), NonEssentials in Palmer, Great Alaska Bowl Company, UA Museum of the North, and Princess Lodge in Fairbanks (among others), Sam McGee's and FishCreek Company in Ketchikan, The Bear's Lair and Taku Smokeries in Juneau, North to Alaska and Dejon Delights in Skagway, and many other gift shops around the state (including most Princess Lodges), and on line.
